Our 2025 UO Leader Trust Survey Report is now live for campus stakeholders:
2025 UO Leader Trust Survey: Results and Discussion
United Academics wants to help bridge the “trust deficit” between UO’s top leaders and faculty workers.
In order to learn more about the existing climate of trust on campus, United Academics facilitated a “UO Leader Trust Survey” in winter 2026. We asked faculty participants to reflect upon the performance of UO’s leaders in top positions—including Deans, the Provost, the President, and the Board of Trustees—in the calendar year 2025. We also asked participants to reflect upon shared governance practices and the role of the UO Senate.
The survey results strongly suggests that the events of summer 2025 (as well as long-term concerns about UO’s financial priorities) have resulted in a significant loss of morale and confidence among campus workers. Among faculty members, the loss of collective trust in UO leaders’ commitment to transparency and shared governance, to the institution of tenure, and to the overall collective wellbeing of UO workers, has been particularly damaging.

- Structure of Trust
- Transparency
- Shared Governance
- Labor and Climate
